On December 13, 2025, the Rainbow Room Foundation hosted its annual End-of-Year Elderly Celebration, bringing together 395 Wazee‘s from our community for a day centred on connection, joy and shared celebration.
The atmosphere was brought to life by Wabilwe wa Barasa, whose Bukusu music filled the Rainbow Room grounds and drew the elderly onto the dance floor. The Wazee danced freely to familiar rhythms such as Twisti, their laughter and energy creating a warm and uplifting environment that reflected the true spirit of togetherness.

The event also featured an insightful health and wellness session led by nutritionist Ms. Bibiana Khaemba, who spoke on managing lifestyle diseases and the importance of regular medical check-ups. Her interactive discussion allowed the elderly to ask questions and receive practical advice, making the session both engaging and empowering.
As the celebration drew to a close and the elderly began receiving their Christmas care packages, the skies opened and rain began to fall. Even then, the moment remained deeply touching. The rain did not slow the process or dampen the spirit of the day. Packages were shared, smiles remained and the sense of care and appreciation was unmistakable.

We are sincerely grateful for the generous donations from all our donors, whose support made it possible to extend this care and kindness to our Wazee.
This celebration was a powerful reminder that community goes beyond comfort and convenience. At the Rainbow Room Foundation, we remain committed to standing with our elderly, creating meaningful moments of dignity, connection and joy — rain or shine.
We look forward to many more shared moments in the years ahead.
Merry Christmas from all of us at Rainbow Room Foundation.
